Wraparound Support

Mentorship

Guidance, networks, and knowledge-sharing for lasting impact.

A Peer-Led Mentorship Model

Winning an Iris Prize isn’t just about funding – it’s the start of a year-long relationship.

Every winner is paired with two mentors: one from their own country or region, and one with direct expertise in their field. The Iris Project supports the regional mentor to visit the winner’s project in person, running reciprocal knowledge-building workshops and building the kind of connection that doesn’t happen over video calls.

All six runners-up join a group mentorship programme, working together with a two shared mentors across the year.

Mentorship here runs in both directions. Grantees lead the process; mentors listen first, and advice is offered, not imposed.

Through mentorship, we empower young changemakers with the guidance, perspectives, and networks they need to transform bold ideas into lasting solutions.
