Capacity Building

All prize winners receive individualised capacity building and peer-to-peer mentorship, alongside grant-funding

We feel passionate about our role as enablers rather than leaders of change. So, we don’t want to burden our prize winners with additional work commitments if they don’t think they are helpful. As such, we let our prize winners determine which aspects of capacity-building they would like to engage with.

Mentorship

Each prize winner is paired with two mentors from our advisory panel, who are on hand to discuss our winner’s projects, shape their bespoke capacity-building requests and respond to any concerns or questions they might have.

CoalitionWILD

Our intensive six-month leadership development and capacity-building programme is led and run by youth-led organisation CoalitionWILD, to equip emerging environmental leaders with the skills necessary to carry out action projects for the planet. Our prize winners access bimonthly interactive webinars led by expert speakers, which focus on project development and management, fundraising, budget creation, grant writing, monitoring and evaluation and effective communications. Participants also have the opportunity to apply for additional funding through the programme and connect with other changemakers worldwide.

Climate Communications Programme

Each prize winner can opt into our Climate Communications Programme as part of our bespoke capacity-building package. In collaboration with MakerChange Studio, this program aims to raise project awareness and reach a more comprehensive network of donors to support projects’ overall growth and impact. Aimed at helping prize winners and runners-up scale their impactspark conversations, and raise funds for their climate action projects. Our bespoke communication support provides youth-led projects with the tools to amplify their voices, share their vision, showcase their work and expand their impact. Find out more about the programme here.
